Checkout Policy

All classes visit the library once every six days on a rotating schedule.

Check out policies are as follows:

Kindergarten and First Grade-1 book

Second -Sixth Grade -2 books

Books are due on the class' next library day, but students may renew their books.  When a student has an overdue book, they may not check out until that book is returned or paid for if the book is lost.  Notices are sent home regularly, advising students and parents about overdue and lost books.

Students are taught proper book care and are especially encouraged to keep books away from food, water, and small children and pets.  Students are responsible for taking care of our Hartford library books. It is expected that a book will be returned to the library in the same condition it was checked out. If a book is lost, damaged by water, has ripped pages, damaged by ink or anything else, it must be paid for. If a fine cannot be paid all at once, students are encouraged to make payments. The student will not be able to check out anything from the library until the fine has been paid.

Thank you for your help and support.
